Rick has strong ties with North Florida having graduated from St. Petersburg College and visiting the area throughout his life to see his grandparents. It was his second home since being a military brat and living all over the United States and Europe. His history in North Florida deepens with his children attending High School in Jacksonville while his wife Patti was a college arts administrator. Of course, it goes without saying, that Gainesville, where the Fabiani Family reside, is an integral part of his life because his wife and children graduated from the University of Florida.
Mr. Fabiani is the founder and President of the Gainesville Fisher House Foundation, the local support organization for the North Florida South Georgia Fisher House. During his tenure as President the Gainesville Fisher House was requested, built and endowed. A Fisher House is a “home away from home” built on the campus of a VA Hospital or military base for the families of veterans or active-duty military who are being treated for serious conditions or surgery. You can see it for yourself at GainesvilleFisherHouse.org
Mr. Fabiani has been a private wealth advisor for twenty-nine years and has earned the Certified Retirement Planning Counselor designation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, including several specialty areas and graduate studies in Financial Planning from American College.
He was also a founding member of Civitan at the Beaches in Jacksonville, Florida. Rick’s distinctions include Boy Scout Master of the Year, Civitan of the Year and a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International. He was cited by the National Fisher House Foundation with the Patriot Award. He has also served on many boards including the Rotary Club of Gainesville and the Rotary Foundation.
Mr. Fabiani served ten years in the Air Force Air National Guard as a C-130 Flight Navigator flying missions worldwide and attaining the rank of Captain. He is a proud father of three adult children and blessed to be married to his wife Patti.
